PREPAREDNESS IS A STARTING QUESTION

What would help
people take part?

A company may have a good idea but still need reliable access, skilled people, a research partner, or help understanding local rules. The IMF AI Preparedness Index brings those country conditions into one research view.

Use it to prepare a conversation. Ask a chamber, school, business, or public agency what is happening locally today. A country measure can guide that question; it does not prove that a customer wants your service or that a partnership will succeed.

This evidence sits beside the Commercial Diplomacy Index. It adds context without changing the site’s country-readiness or Sister City scores.

What could you do with this context?

Start with a business need. You might need a training partner, a digital supplier, a research team, or someone who can explain the market’s rules. These are NDS planning questions, not opportunities proven by an index value.

A preparedness value describes conditions in a country. To decide whether to do business, also check customers, costs, industry evidence, and people who can help you follow through.

The U.S. companion covers business survey evidence. It does not describe AI use in this country.
