Imagine you are planning a move, welcoming a delegation, or seeking a local cultural group. Different community measures help you ask different questions. Birthplace describes where someone was born. Mexican origin and ancestry can include U.S.-born residents. Indigenous identities retain their own Census names and scope.
The Follow Your Heart community publication supplies these source rankings. This version connects 274 published communities, including 73 exact country-of-birth matches and 40 selected Indigenous identity views. Original ranks and estimates are preserved.

The areas are published ZIP-based city markets with at least 50,000 residents. The lists contain positive estimates; absence does not establish a zero population. A city-market label is different from an official municipality or metro. National ranks stay unchanged when you search within a complete list.
The Indigenous extension uses B02020 person counts, including Aztec, Maya, Mixtec and other source identities. Its source requires at least 99.99% numeric coverage of the market population before assigning an Indigenous rank. B02021 group tallies remain context-only. These measures do not describe all Indigenous people or determine anyone’s citizenship.
Margins of error are not supplied for these city-market rollups. Use estimates as a starting point, then meet people through local networks. Participation, language preferences, and business interests need their own conversation.
